Micro Embossing & Etching (MEE)

 

MEE© is a breakthrough in glass microfabrication, allowing us to create complex microfeatures on glass using our proprietary micro embossing and etching process in a mass producible manner thereby bringing production costs of glass microsystems down and passing on the technological benefits of using glass to the end users.

Advantages of Glass Microfluidics & MEE

 

- Glass is by far the best material for biochemical microsystems due to its biocompatibility, high temperature tolerance and corrosion resistant nature

- Glass has good optical properties and hence can be used for all applications that require optical detection and analysis

- Glass is cheaper and widely available Ð this results in lower manufacturing costs as compared to silicon

- This technology provides excellent manufacturability to glass thereby having the potential to replace silicon and polymer as the material of choice

- The technology is highly scalable and adaptive to cover a broad spectrum of microfluidic applications
